1. Who May Use Bolt
You may use Bolt only if you are an adult and a yard with a Bolt subscription has authorized you as its owner, employee or individual contractor. Use it only for that yard's recycling, dismantling or salvage business.
2. Your Yard's Agreement Comes First
Your yard signed the Bolt Master Subscription Agreement. It governs the subscription, the fees, the data and our liability. These terms govern your own conduct when you sign in. If the two differ, the signed agreement wins.
3. Your Login
One person, one login
Your login is yours alone. Do not share it, do not sign in as anyone else, and keep your password to yourself.
Report misuse
If you think someone else has used your login, tell your yard's Bolt administrator and email [email protected].
Access can end
Your yard decides who gets in and can remove your access at any time.
4. What You Must Not Do
Your yard has promised us that its users will not do this. By accepting these terms you make the same promise.
- Publish anything unlawful, deceptive, defamatory or infringing, including stolen parts or parts that cannot lawfully be sold or exported.
- Scrape or automatically pull data out of Bolt, except through our export and integration features.
- Resell, rent, sublicense or run Bolt for another yard.
- Get around access controls, usage limits or security, test for weaknesses without our consent, or introduce harmful code.
- Reach another customer's data or interfere with how Bolt runs.
- Copy Bolt, build something from it, or reverse engineer it except as far as the law allows.
- Misrepresent who you are, what you have in stock or who you work for.
5. What You Put In
Everything you enter, upload or record in Bolt is your yard's data under its agreement with us, not ours. If any of it is yours to give, you give your yard the right to use it.
Photograph the part, not the people. Leave faces, licence plates and paperwork out of frame where you can. In a voice note, describe the part, not the customer.
6. AI Results Are Suggestions
AI scanning, VIN lookups and interchange data give you suggestions, not decisions. They come partly from outside sources and can be wrong. Check the part and the description yourself before it is listed or sold.
7. Who Sells the Part
We provide software, not parts. A sale of a part that comes about through Bolt is a contract only between the yard and its buyer. We are not the seller and not a party, agent, broker or guarantor.
8. What Belongs to Us
We and our licensors own Bolt and everything in it. Send us an idea for improving Bolt and we may use it freely, without payment. We take no ownership of the yard's data.
9. Suspension
We may suspend your access where your yard's agreement allows: a serious breach of the rules above, use that is unlawful, risks security or creates ongoing legal risk for us, or fees left unpaid past the cure period. That agreement sets out the notice we give your yard first and when we may act at once.
10. Privacy
The Bolt Privacy Policy says what we collect, who else sees it and how long we keep it. Privacy questions go to [email protected].
11. Our Responsibility to You
TO YOU AS A USER. BOLT COMES TO YOU AS IT IS, WITH NO WARRANTY FROM US. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS FROM USING BOLT OR BEING UNABLE TO USE IT. NOTHING HERE LIMITS LIABILITY THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW US TO LIMIT, SUCH AS FOR FRAUD OR INJURY WE CAUSE, OR REDUCES WHAT WE OWE YOUR YARD.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. We post the new version in Bolt and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in. We post a change that matters at least 15 days before it takes effect.
13. Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts in Vancouver have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
